So the end of a busy week. Not much opportunity for champagne, except perhaps with the exception of drinks taken in the terrace bar at the House of Commons - not a bad view and a chance for spotting: Patricia Hewitt amongst several MPs.
However did embibe my first ever pint of Fruilli - how cool is that? Beer that tastes like strawberries - fantastic as it doesn't taste like beer but still has all the alcohol!
Few annoying bits today that got me rattled, but all in all the week seems to have gone well. Probably haven't won any friends wityh my forthright approach (although I had done some warming up already), but can't make an omlette without...
Next week promises an awards ceremony, a meeting at No.10 DS and an awayday (well morning actually) briefing - must be some chance of champagne...things are looking up!
